Have a Beach Day! Gyro Beach

Kelowna offers more than 30 beaches. Pack a picnic and away you go!  Enjoy a swim in the crystal clear water of the Okanagan Lake

Go for a Hike

A climb to the top of Knox Mountain will be rewarded with a spectacular view of Kelowna’s Okanagan Lake.
If you don’t want to hike the whole way, you can drive most of the way to the top and walk five minutes to the viewpoint.

Go for a Bike Ride

Kelowna has more than 300 kilometers of on-street cycling lanes and 40 kilometers of separated paved multi-use trails.
If you don’t have a bike, that is okay – rent one!

Mini Golf

Mini golf is always a fun-filled family event.  Visit 19 Greens and Play Zone or Scandia Golf and Games. The whole family is sure to have a wonderful time!

H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre

Have fun in the wave pool, water slides, surf simulator and river run. H20 has over a million gallons of water and is considered the largest municipal park in Canada. If you just want a work out visit the 12,000 sq ft of fitness and cardio space.
H20 will be opening for business once again on August 10, 2020.

Farm Animals

Take your family to Don O Ray Farm. Here they can get up close and pet goats, potbelly pigs, sheep, alpaca, bunnies, chickens and ducks.
Test your skills in the challenging maze! Then stop and enjoy some ice-cream and cold drinks. A perfect family outing!
Another place to take your kids is the Kangaroo Creek Farm.  Introduce your children to the “roos”.
Are you a bird lover?  If so, visit the Parrot Island Sanctuary in Peachland (about 20 minutes west of Kelowna.) This is the home of many exotic birds.


If you are fascinated with how bees make honey, be sure to go to Arlo’s Honey Farm.
Take the educational tour that explores the honey bee’s life and observe the workings of a real hive. When you leave you can purchase a wide variety of honey items like soap, skincare products, candles, books and of course honey.

Family Playgrounds

Kelowna offers many playgrounds to let your children run and have fun.
If it is an indoor playground you are looking for then visit the Energyplex which includes a four-storey jungle gym, trampolines, bounce boards and a rock wall.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, visit Myra Canyon and Wild Play adventure parks. Here you will find aerial adventures, complete with ropes, obstacles and lots of fun.  Safari Ridge offers paintball and laser tag.  This your teens will love!

Adventure Anyone?

For that person you loves adventure, try the zipline at Oyama Ziplines, just north of Kelowna or Zipzone Adventure Park, south of Kelowna. Here you will zip 400 feet above deep creek canyon.


Rent a boat from Downtown Marina, Eldorado Marina, Dockside Marina or many other rental places throughout Kelowna. Explore Okanagan Lake with its beautiful beaches and secluded spots for that quiet picnic.

Kelowna Golf Courses

The Kelowna golf season in the Okanagan Valley is the envy of Canada.

Black Mountain

This is an 18 hole, Par 71 championship golf course. Named PGA of BC Golf Facility of the Year in 2018, this course is known for its spectacular conditions from early spring to late fall. This is a public course.

Gallagher’s Canyon

This course offers 6,082 yards of beautiful scenery overlooking the steep canyon. Test your golf skills with three par fives clustered around the turn between holes nine and twelve. Once you have finished your round, enjoy a nice cold beverage on the clubhouse deck!
The golf course is open April through October.
Gallagher’s Pinnacle Course
This is a challenging nine hole course par 32 course that both masters and apprentices will test their golf skills.

Kelowna Springs Golf Club

This course is a Championship 18 hole golf course that spreads amongst seven spring fed lakes. Come and bring the family for a fabulous Sunday brunch at the Legend’s Classic Grill.

The Bear Course

This Okanagan Golf Club is one of two spectacular golf courses at this 36 hole golf resort in Kelowna. Planned by Nicklaus Design to ignite your passion for the game, The Bear’s 18 hole 6,885 yard, par 72 masterpiece design opened for play in 1999 is unlike any other golf course in British Columbia. With dramatic sculpted fairways surrounded by the forests and sage brush hills of B.C.’s sun-drenched southern interior, The Bear is the crown jewel course of the Okanagan Valley.

The Quail Course

The Quail is a magnificent par 72, 18-hole championship golf course that has become an Okanagan Valley favourite since the day it first opened. Designed by renowned golf course architect Les Furber and built in 1994, this unique course features dramatic elevation changes and breathtaking views as 6,794 yards of multi-tiered fairways meander around a majestic rock bluff.

Tower Ranch Golf Club

A Thomas McBroom designed championship golf course featuring dramatic undulating land, giving way to a fascinating and thrilling golf experience for different levels!  The semi-private club, located minutes from downtown Kelowna and the Kelowna Airport, features captivating views from 18 holes of golf, a pro shop, dining room and a fitness facility.
Tower Ranch Golf Club was voted #1 course in Kelowna by the PGA of BC in 2013.

Cedar Creek sits on fifty acres of property along the shores of Lake Okanagan.  Enjoy their renown Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and wide selection of exquisite white wines.

Gray Monk Estate Winery

This winery gem is one of the original five wineries that pioneered the BC Wine industry.  It has been producing top wines for over 45 years. The name “Gray Monk” is the English translation for the Austrian name of Pinot Gris.
The 25-acre estate winery is open for tastings daily year-round with special events in November, December, February and April. Come by and enjoy a taste of 23 European-inspired wines or the number one selling VQA Pinot Gris in B.C..

Indigenous World Winery

This winery has been opened since 2016.  It is the second Indigenous owned winery in BC.  The facility features a wine tasting room, native themed gift shop, picnic area and indigenous inspired restaurant.

The goal of the owner Robert and Bernice Louie is to create an aboriginal themed destination that showcases indigenous people in business while highlighting the beautiful culture and traditions of the indigenous people.

Mission Hill Family Estate

Millsion Hill has estate vineyards in each of the Okanagan Valley’s five growing regions. Making fabulous wines and offering a spectacular place where guests can enjoy the many beautiful wines it produces is a real gem.
